From the APLA organization, we prioritize the well-being and safety of our participants, their families and the communities where we are present.

Given the situation of force majeure caused by COVID-19 in the world and especially in Latin America, the APLA Board of Directors has resolved the postponement of the 40th Annual Meeting, scheduled for November 2020 in São Paulo, Brazil.

The new realization date is from November 6 to 9, 2021, keeping the same headquarters, Sheraton WTC, São Paulo.

This year, between November 7 and 10, we will be holding the conferences planned virtually.

From APLA, we continue to organize the 40th Annual Meeting 2021 and we hope to continue working together with you to transform our next meeting into a great opportunity for business and growth in our industry.

We know that it is a delicate and uncertain moment but also full of opportunities, in which we propose to work together, so that our industry continues to develop in a sustainable way.

We will be much more active and closer to you through the use of digital communication and communication channels.

When should I request the group discount rate?

Before making the registration of each of the members of the group.

How do I apply for the discount rate?

You must send an email groups@apla.com.ar with the following information:

Number of participants

Payment method: Individual payment or a single payment for the total of the participants.


Once the discount rate has been applied by groups, the number of participants requested must be respected.

Is there a refund if I cancel the registration?

Yes, the returns will be made taking into account the following deadlines:

Until September 7, 2020: The return of 70% of the amount paid will be made.

From September 8 to October 7, 2020: The return of 50% of the paid will be made.

From October 8, 2020: There is no return. Only the members will have 50% of the amount paid as credit for the registration of the following year’s meeting. The credit is non-transferable.

No show: There is no return.


If the attendee wishes that the refund credit (depending on the corresponding percentage) be taken in favor of future registrations, he may use it in one of the next 3 APLA meetings.
a) If the attendee belongs to an APLA ANNUAL SUPPORTER AND MEMBER company, the credit can be used by the company for the payment of a next registration. For this reason, it may be transferred to another person of the same company.
b) If the attendee belongs to an APLA SUPPORTER NON-MEMBER company, the credit is non-transferable.
a) For payments that have been made by credit card, 7% of the fee paid will be retained for administrative costs.
b) For payments that have been made by bank transfer, $25 will be retained for bank administrative costs.

Can I substitute my assistance with that of a companion of the same company?

The substitution of one participant for another of the same company will be allowed, at no cost.

When will the returns be made in case of cancellation?

Returns will be made after the meeting.

What is the host hotel?

The host hotel will be the Sheraton Sao Paulo WTC Hotel.

Although both the Sheraton Hotel and the Hilton Sao Paulo Morumbi will be official Meeting Hotels, activities and meeting spaces are being developed in both.

When can I book a room at the host hotel?

 At the end of your registration process, you can access the link to make your reservation at the hotel headquarters.

APLA reserves the right to cancel the hotel reservation if the registration is not paid after 5 days of receipt of the invoice.

When can I reserve a meeting space?

You can make your choice of meeting spaces from April 13 to May 4, 2020 inclusive.

How do I reserve a meeting space?

Choose the space you want to acquire (select at least three spaces).

How are the meeting spaces asigned?

Upon the same requirement by more than one company, the spaces will be assigned taking into account the following conditions:

1) That the company is a member (*) of APLA

2) That the company is an annual APLA contributor.

3) Number of registrants at the 39th Annual Latin American Petrochemical Meeting.

(*) To access the benefit, the annual calendar year fee must be paid.

When will the allocation of spaces be communicated?

As of May 14, 2020, the companies will be informed of the spaces assigned to them.

When is the meeting space confirmed?

With the payment of it.
